Lindale Park is nestled among tall oaks and countless magnolias in Houston’s near Northside. Sometimes called the “Hidden Jewel” of the inter-loop neighborhoods Lindale Park is just east of the Heights. One of the finest of Houston’s older neighborhoods, Lindale Park’s boundaries are Interstate 610 on the north, Moody Street on the south, Robertson Street on the east, and Fulton Street on the west.

First LPCC Quarterly meeting of 2012!

On Tuesday February 28th at 7:00 PM, the Lindale Park Civic Club will hold its first of four general membership meetings for this year. We will have several speakers at our first meeting: 1) Ms. Bernadette Blanco, Assistant Principal of Marshall Middle School Academy of Fine Arts to update us on the happenings at her school; and 2) someone from Council Member Ed Gonzalez’s office to speak about City Improvement Projects (CIP), the process and items on the list for the Northside.

Coming Soon, the 2012 LPCC Spring Festival!

Last year, a new event was added to the LPCC lineup so that we would have the opportunity to get together and enjoy each other as neighbors at least once every quarter in a fun setting (The 4th of July parade, National Night Out and the Christmas party are the other three LPCC quarterly events). Our new Spring Festival was a great success. Both children and adults played games and enjoyed free grilled hot dogs, drinks and desserts. There were also crafts for the children and of course the big Easter egg hunt. There was even a visit by the Easter Bunny!

This year’s second annual Spring Festival on Saturday, March 24th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, will offer the same great activities and free food! So, please come out and enjoy yourself, your family and your neighbors!

“Located Just east of the Heights and I-45, Lindale Park has plenty of large shade trees and 50 year old bungalows. The houses have "interesting architecture" --a key ingredient in starting a neighborhood gentrification boom, said Barbra Coffman of Coldwell Banker Swilley Hudson.”
