Thank you for your
interest in the Lindale Park Civic Club! LPCC has been active in
the community, virtually from the beginnings of Lindale Park in the
early 1930’s. Lindale Park was one of the earliest “planned
communities” in Houston, with a pool, park, clubhouse and nine-hole
golf course. Though the growth
of Houston has changed the shape of the neighborhood, Lindale Park
continues as a strong community and an active Civic Club!
We'd like to
welcome our recent new & renewing members!

In the early 1970’s, the deed restrictions of Lindale Park were allowed
to lapse, but a hard-working group of volunteers banded together in the
early 1980’s and began the arduous task of re-implementing our current
deed restrictions.
Not only do we see the benefits of these great
volunteers in our re-instated deed restrictions, but the sound wall,
upgraded water system, street resurfacing, increased street lighting,
and boulevard enhancement were also a result of the efforts of our
Civic Club.
Although “hard improvements” are important to a neighborhood,
we should not forget the sense of community that comes from other Civic
Club activities such as our Fourth of July parade, yard judging,
Christmas party and continued presence in city affairs: police and
crime control activities; and various protests against business
establishments that seek to lower our standard of living by acquiring
alcohol and related permits.
